Ingredients
  

Truffle Base

  • 8 oz white chocolate, chopped Finely chopped for easy melting.
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream To create a smooth filling.
  • 1 tbsp butter For added richness.
  • 1/4 cup limoncello Adds a refreshing citrus punch.

Optional Toppings

  • 1/2 cup crushed nuts Pistachios work great.
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder For a chocolatey coating.
  • 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar For a sweet finish.

Preparation

  • Melt the White Chocolate: In a heatproof bowl, combine chopped white chocolate and heavy cream. Melt over a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  • Add LimĂłncello: Once melted, mix in the limoncello and a tablespoon of butter. Stir until fully incorporated.
  • Chill the Mixture: Pour the mixture into a shallow dish, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 2 hours or until set.

Forming Truffles

  • Shape the Truffles: Once the mix is firm, scoop out small portions and roll them into balls using your hands.
  • Coat the Truffles: Roll each truffle in your choice of toppings, like crushed pistachios, graham cracker crumbs, or cocoa powder.
  • Chill Again: Place the coated truffles on a parchment-lined tray and return them to the fridge for another hour to set completely.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Serve chilled, and watch them disappear fast!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months, layered with parchment paper.
