Ingredients
  

Burger Mixture

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped Can substitute frozen spinach, thawed and drained.
  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Cooking & Serving

  • Olive oil, for cooking
  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, or extra cheese

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Gently stir until everything is mixed but not overworked.
  • Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Drizzle a bit of olive oil in and then add the patties.
  • Cook for 5-6 minutes on each side or until they have an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Once cooked, transfer the patties to a plate and let them rest for a few minutes.

Assembly

  • Assemble your burgers by placing the patties on the buns and adding your favorite toppings. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

To store leftovers, allow the cooked patties to cool, then place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. If freezing, ensure uncooked patties are separated with parchment paper. For added flavor, consider smoked paprika or cayenne pepper.
