Ingredients

Chicken and Sauce

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a small mixing bowl, blend the unsalted butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth. Set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the chicken breasts, and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove chicken and set aside.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, add chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any flavorful bits. Stir in the butter mixture and let it simmer until well combined.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to soak in flavors.

Serving

  • Finish with a sprinkle of chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For added spice, consider cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes. Serve with fluffy white rice or creamy mashed potatoes and crusty bread to soak up the sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for 2 months.
