  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • 1/2 cup diced onion

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, mixing thoroughly. Season the mixture with salt and pepper according to your taste.
  • In a baking dish, spread the beef mixture evenly across the bottom.
  • Layer the frozen tater tots on top of the beef mixture.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the tater tots.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding garlic or garlic powder to the beef mixture while cooking. If desired, you can mix in some frozen peas or corn for added nutrition and color.
