  • 1 package Taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Creamy ranch dressing For drizzling and serving
  • 1 bag Tortilla chips Choose your favorite type
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese Your choice (pepper jack or cheddar recommended)
  • 2 cups Cooked ground beef or chicken Feel free to substitute with vegetarian options
  • 1 cup Chopped tomatoes For topping
  • 1/2 cup Chopped green onions For topping
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream For serving

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef or chicken with taco seasoning until well incorporated.
  • Arrange tortilla chips on a baking sheet, leaving a bit of space between each.
  • Top each chip with a spoonful of the meat mixture, followed by a sprinkle of shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, and chopped green onions.
  • Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve hot, drizzling ranch dressing over the top and adding a dollop of sour cream for dipping.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. They can be reheated in the oven to maintain crispiness. Uncooked, assembled bites can be frozen for later baking.
