Ingredients
  

For the twists

  • 1 sheet puff pastry Make sure the puff pastry is cold before using.
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 each egg For egg wash, beaten.
  • as needed tablespoon flour For dusting.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it's about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl until well combined.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over the rolled pastry.
  • Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide.
  • Twist each strip to form a spiral shape and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops of the twists with the beaten egg to give them a lovely golden color when baked.

Baking

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or freeze for about a month. Reheat in the oven before serving.
