  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced Slicing against the grain for tenderness.
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce Can substitute with additional soy sauce and honey.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil For stir-frying.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped For garnish.
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Preparation

  • Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Once done, drain and set them aside.
  • Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced beef, stirring quickly to brown it for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Incorporate minced garlic and ginger, cooking them until fragrant.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Pour this mixture over the beef and stir until it thickens.
  • Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet, ensuring they are well-coated in the sauce.
  • Plate your sticky beef noodles and finish with a sprinkle of green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Best enjoyed straight from the skillet. Can be paired with steamed vegetables or cucumber salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
