  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 piece lemon, juiced

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by melting the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or on the stovetop until fully liquid.
  • Stir in the minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until combined.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker, making sure to coat each piece thoroughly with the garlic butter mixture.
  • Squeeze the juice of the lemon over the chicken for a bright, zesty flavor.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and completely cooked through.

Serving

  • When cooking is complete, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and transfer it to a serving plate. You can choose to shred it or serve the breasts whole.
  • Drizzle some of the remaining garlic butter sauce over the chicken and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. For the best experience, serve it over rice or mashed potatoes to soak up all that delicious garlic butter goodness.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Gently reheat on the stove or in the microwave, adding chicken broth if needed. For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine to the garlic butter mixture.
