Peanut Butter Dough

  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter Use smooth peanut butter for best texture.
  • ¼ cup butter, softened Make sure the butter is at room temperature.
  • ½ cup brown sugar Packed brown sugar enhances the flavor.
  • 1 large egg Room temperature for better mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Brownie Dough

  • ½ cup butter, melted Let it cool slightly before mixing.
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • cup cocoa powder Use unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • 1 large egg Room temperature for better mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips Use semisweet or dark chocolate chips.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Peanut Butter Dough

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, softened butter, and brown sugar. Mix until creamy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  • Gradually stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.

Prepare the Brownie Dough

  • In another bowl, mix the melted butter and white sugar until smooth.
  • Add the cocoa powder, egg, and vanilla extract; blend well.
  • Gently fold in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Finally, mix in the chocolate chips.

Form the Swirled Cookies

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • On a baking sheet, drop spoonfuls of both the peanut butter dough and brownie dough next to each other.
  • Using a skewer or a knife, swirl the doughs together gently for a marbled effect.

Bake the Cookies

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are firm but the centers are still soft.
  • Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

These cookies are best enjoyed warm with a glass of milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. For a special touch, drizzle some melted chocolate over them or sprinkle with sea salt.
