  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted Ensure it is melted but not hot.
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, almond butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Fold in the dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  • Press the mixture into an 8x8 inch baking dish lined with parchment paper, ensuring it is spread uniformly.
  • Refrigerate the bars for at least 1 hour to help them set.
  • Once set, cut the mixture into bars and serve.

Notes

These bars can be drizzled with melted dark chocolate before serving. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze them for up to three months. To make nut-free, substitute almond flour and almond butter with sunflower seed flour and sunflower seed butter respectively. Adjust maple syrup to your sweetness preference.
