Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with half-and-half.
  • 1 cup fresh basil, chopped Fresh basil is recommended for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Season chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper and add them to the skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked. Once done, remove the chicken and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and let it come to a gentle simmer. Stir in the chopped basil, allowing the herbs to infuse the sauce.
  • Add the mozzarella cheese, stirring until it's beautifully melted and combined.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
  • Serve hot with a side of pasta or vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

Leftovers keep well in the fridge for 3-4 days and can be reheated in a skillet or microwave. May be frozen for 2-3 months without pasta.
