Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar and mix until combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until well blended.
  • Add a few drops of green food coloring and mix until you achieve your desired color.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cooling and Decorating

  • Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting them into squares.
  • Decorate with candy eyes and optional chocolate chips or sprinkles for an extra monster-like appearance.

Notes
