Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Pounded to ¾ inch thickness for even cooking.
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (or plain Greek yogurt for lighter version) Substitutes for a lighter alternative.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika or Italian seasoning (optional for topping) For added flavor and visual appeal.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness, aiming for about ¾ inch thick.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread this mixture generously over the tops of each chicken breast, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and sprinkle optional paprika or Italian seasoning on top.
  • Bake uncovered for 35-45 minutes, or until the chicken’s internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the top is golden brown.
  • Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, pound the chicken evenly and consider marinating in buttermilk for added juiciness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to three months.
