Ingredients
  

For the Dough

  • 150 grams 150 grams all-purpose flour
  • 100 ml 100 ml water
  • 100 ml 100 ml milk
  • 80 grams 80 grams butter softened
  • 4 large 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ teaspoon salt

For the Cream Filling

  • 500 ml 500 ml milk
  • 150 grams 150 grams sugar
  • 100 grams 100 grams all-purpose flour
  • 2 large 2 large eggs
  • 180 grams 180 grams butter

For Garnish

  • Icing sugar or your favorite garnish

Instructions
 

Preparing the Dough

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 150 grams of flour, 100 ml each of water and milk, along with 80 grams of softened butter. Add the 4 large eggs, baking powder, and salt. Blend until smooth and well combined.

Making the Cream Filling

  • In a saucepan, heat 500 ml of milk and dissolve 150 grams of sugar in it. Once warm, gradually mix in 100 grams of flour and 2 large eggs, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens into a creamy filling.

Assembling the Cake

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Pour half of the dough into a greased cake pan. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden.
  • After cooling, layer with the cream filling, followed by the remaining dough. Bake again until fully set.
  • Once cooled, dust with icing sugar for a beautiful finish.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for a month. Use brown sugar for added richness.
