For the Cake Base

  • 150 grams 150 grams (1 ½ cups) all-purpose flour
  • 100 ml 100 ml (½ cup) water
  • 100 ml 100 ml (½ cup) milk
  • 80 grams 80 grams (⅓ cup) butter Melted
  • 4 large 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ½ teaspoon salt

For the Cream Filling

  • 500 ml 500 ml (2 cups) milk
  • 150 grams 150 grams (¾ cup) sugar
  • 100 grams 100 grams (1 cup) all-purpose flour
  • 2 large 2 large eggs
  • 180 grams 180 grams (¾ cup) butter
  • Icing sugar or your favorite garnish

Instructions
 

Preparing the Dough

  • In a bowl, combine 150 grams of flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another large bowl, beat 4 eggs, then mix in melted butter, 100 ml water, and 100 ml milk.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.

Making the Cream Filling

  • In a saucepan, heat 500 ml milk and stir in sugar until dissolved.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together 100 grams flour and 2 large eggs, then add to the milk mixture, cooking until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and mix in 180 grams of butter until smooth.

Assembling the Cake

  • Once the dough is baked and cooled, slice it into layers.
  • Spread cream filling generously between the cake layers.
  • Finish with icing sugar or your chosen garnish on top.

Notes

For best results, ensure butter is softened before mixing. You can substitute dairy ingredients with non-dairy options.
