  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups chocolate chips dark or milk chocolate work beautifully
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon ensure it's crispy and well-drained
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt

Preparation

  • In a small saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and pure maple syrup over low heat. Stir continuously until the mixture is melted and smooth.
  • Once melted, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the crumbled bacon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a lined 8x8 inch baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until firm and set.
  • Once set, remove from the fridge, cut into squares, and serve to your delighted guests.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and then in foil for about three months.
