Ingredients
  

For the batter

  • 250 grams paneer (Indian cottage cheese) Crumble the paneer into small pieces.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder (optional)
  • to taste Water (for batter) Add gradually to achieve a pourable consistency.

For frying

  • as needed Oil (for frying) Ensure the oil is heated to the right temperature.

For the sugar syrup

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water (for sugar syrup)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • A few drops of orange food coloring (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Sugar Syrup

  • In a pan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat until fully dissolved.
  • Add cardamom powder and a few drops of orange food coloring (if using), and simmer for about 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened. Set aside.

Make the Paneer Batter

  • In a bowl, crumble the paneer into small pieces.
  • Add all-purpose flour, cornflour, baking powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder (if using). Mix well to form a thick batter.
  • Add water gradually until you achieve a pourable consistency.

Fry the Paneer Jalebis

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Use a piping bag or squeeze bottle to create spiral shapes in the hot oil.
  • Fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Remove and let excess oil drain.

Soak in Sugar Syrup

  • Once the jalebis are crispy and drained, immediately dip them in the warm sugar syrup for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove and let the extra syrup drip off.

Serve

  • Transfer the Instant Crispy Paneer Jalebi to a serving plate and enjoy!

Notes

Can be served warm or at room temperature. Garnish with powdered sugar or chopped nuts. Best consumed fresh.
