Ingredients
  

For the truffle mixture

  • 8 oz White Chocolate Use high-quality chocolate for optimal sweetness and structure.
  • 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream You can replace this with another cream liqueur if desired.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream Essential for achieving the perfect truffle texture.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Opt for pure vanilla for the best results.
  • 1 pinch Salt Balances out the sweetness beautifully.

For coating

  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder Powdered sugar can also be used for a sweeter finish.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Nuts or Sprinkles Optional—feel free to personalize with your favorite toppings.

Preparation

  • Finely chop the white chocolate and place it into a heatproof bowl.
  • In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  • Remove the cream from the heat and pour it over the chopped white chocolate. Allow it to sit for a couple of minutes.
  • Add the Baileys Irish Cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the chocolate mixture, stirring until smooth.
  • Cover and refrigerate the mixture for about 2 hours or until firm enough to scoop.

Rolling and Coating

  • Once chilled, use a melon baller or a teaspoon to scoop out small portions and roll them into balls.
  • Roll each truffle in cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or sprinkles, depending on your preference.
  • Place rolled truffles on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate until firm.

Notes

These truffles can be served directly from the refrigerator or decorated in boxes/baskets for gifting. They can also be paired nicely with coffee or tea.
