  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup hot cocoa mix For richer flavor, consider using dark cocoa powder.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt A sprinkle of sea salt before baking can enhance flavor.

Add-ins

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows Feel free to mix with other flavored chips.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Can substitute with white or dark chocolate chips.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about two inches apart.

  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week or freeze for longer storage. Consider adding crushed candy canes for a festive touch.
