Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast Can substitute with instant yeast.
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water Aim for about 110°F (43°C).
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • to taste Toppings of your choice (e.g., pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms) Feel free to get creative!

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy, about 5-10 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Gradually pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil, stirring until a dough begins to form.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth.
  • Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) while the dough rises.

Assembly and Cooking

  • Roll out the dough to your desired thickness and shape on a floured surface.
  • Spread marinara sauce evenly over the crust, then layer on mozzarella cheese and your chosen toppings.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve hot!

Notes

Slice into wide wedges and serve with a fresh salad. Offer dipping sauces like ranch or garlic butter. For leftovers, cool completely and store tightly wrapped in the fridge for up to three days.
