Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry Ensure it's chilled before rolling.
  • 4 oz ham, thinly sliced Can swap for salami or turkey.
  • 4 oz cheese (cheddar or mozzarella), shredded Experiment with different cheeses!
  • 1 large egg, beaten For egg wash.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning.

Optional Dipping Sauce

  • to taste mustard or your choice of sauce For serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut it into strips.
  • Place a slice of ham and a sprinkle of cheese on one end of each pastry strip.
  • Roll the pastry around the filling to form sticks.
  • Arrange the sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the sticks are golden brown and puffed.
  • Serve warm, accompanied by mustard or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. You can freeze unbaked sticks for longer storage.
