  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 head lettuce (butter or romaine)

Preparation

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil, mixing well.
  • Add the diced bell peppers and shredded carrots to the beef mixture, cooking until the veggies are tender, approximately 3-5 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Serving

  • Serve the beef mixture in lettuce cups, topped with green onions.

Notes

These wraps are best served immediately to maintain the crispness of the lettuce. Store leftover beef mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
