Ingredients

Chicken and Marinade

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and paprika. This mixture will serve as your marinade.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring each piece is fully coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours for a deeper flavor.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high or your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Grill or bake the chicken tenders for 6-7 minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and have a golden brown color.
  • Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before slicing to help keep the tenders juicy.

Notes

Serve Greek chicken tenders with tzatziki sauce for dipping or alongside a fresh Greek salad. They can also be added to pita bread or served over rice or quinoa. For best results, marinate the chicken longer, use fresh ingredients, and avoid moving the chicken around too much while grilling.
