Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz High-quality dark chocolate Use semi-sweet if you prefer a sweeter truffle.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Ground espresso Use less if you want to reduce coffee flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder For rolling the truffles.
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place it in a heatproof bowl.
  • Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until just boiling, then pour it over the chopped chocolate.
  • Allow the mixture to sit for a minute, then stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the ground espresso and a pinch of salt, ensuring everything is well combined.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until the mixture is firm enough to handle.
  • Once chilled, scoop out small portions and roll them into balls between your palms.
  • Roll each truffle in cocoa powder to coat evenly, and place them on a parchment-lined tray.

Notes

Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. For longer storage, freeze them layered between parchment paper. Consider adding flavored liqueurs for an adult twist or rolling in chopped nuts for added texture.
