Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sauces

  • 12 pieces no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 4 cups jarred spaghetti sauce your favorite brand

Meats

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound Italian sausage

Cheeses

  • 16 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups Mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage together until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  • In a medium bowl, mix ricotta cheese with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Layering

  • Spread a thin layer of spaghetti sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Layer three or four no-boil lasagna noodles over the sauce, then spread half of the ricotta mixture on top.
  • Add half of the cooked meat mixture followed by a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Repeat the layering process, finishing with a final layer of sauce topped with the remaining Parmesan and mozzarella cheese.

Baking

  • Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

This lasagna can be topped with fresh basil or additional Parmesan before serving. To store leftovers, use an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days, or freeze for longer storage.
