Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 1 batch Pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)

Fillings

  • 2 cups Shredded cheese (mozzarella recommended) Can explore other cheese types as well.
  • 1 cup Pepperoni or choice of meats Ground turkey or chicken can be used as substitutes.
  • 1 cup Choice of vegetables (bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc.)

Sauce and Seasoning

  • 1 cup Pizza sauce
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil For brushing tops.
  • 1 tsp Oregano Optional for added flavor.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning Optional for added flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares or circles.
  • On one half of each piece of dough, place a generous spoonful of pizza sauce followed by a sprinkle of cheese and your chosen toppings.
  • Fold the dough over to create a pocket, ensuring to seal the edges with a fork to prevent leakage.
  • Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with oregano or Italian seasoning for an extra flavor boost.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until they turn a golden brown hue.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve the pizza pockets hot, perhaps with extra pizza sauce for dipping. For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.
