  • 1 15oz can chickpeas (or 1 ½ cups cooked chickpeas)
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup (or date syrup)

Spices

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika powder
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Rinse and drain the chickpeas. Pat them dry with a towel to remove excess moisture.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup, smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin powder, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt.
  • Add the chickpeas to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  • Spread the chickpeas out on a baking sheet in a single layer.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until they are crunchy and golden. Be sure to stir halfway through for even cooking.
  • Allow the roasted chickpeas to cool before serving.
