Ingredients
  

Brownie Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix (approximately 15 ounces) Use your preferred brand.
  • 2 large eggs Use according to brownie mix box instructions.
  • ½ cup vegetable oil Can use melted butter or coconut oil for different flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons water As per brownie mix instructions.

Pudding Ingredients

  • 1 package instant chocolate or chocolate fudge pudding mix (3.4 ounces) Can substitute with vanilla or butterscotch for variation.
  • 2 cups milk (regular or nonfat)

For Serving

  • to taste ice cream or whipped cream Optional, for topping.

Preparation

  • Coat the inside of a 6-7 quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix with eggs, vegetable oil, and water as per the box's instructions. Pour the batter evenly into the greased slow cooker.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until smooth. Pour this mixture over the brownie batter.
  • Lay a paper towel across the top of the slow cooker before covering it with the lid to catch condensation.

Cooking

  • Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours, checking around the 2-hour mark. The edges should be slightly dry while the center remains jiggly.

Serving

  • Serve warm, garnished with ice cream or whipped cream if desired. Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

Monitored cooking is crucial; the dessert continues to set after cooking. Feel free to customize with nuts or chocolate chips in the brownie mix.
