  • 2 lbs beef stew meat Consider using marbled beef for added flavor.
  • 4 cups beef broth Preferred for depth of flavor, but vegetable broth can be used.
  • 3 pieces carrots, sliced
  • 2 pieces potatoes, diced
  • 1 piece onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Cooking Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the beef stew meat on all sides. Once done, transfer the beef to your crockpot.
  • Add the sliced carrots, diced potatoes, chopped onion, and minced garlic into the crockpot.
  • Pour in the beef broth along with the Worcestershire sauce.
  • Sprinkle in the dried thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir everything until combined.
  • Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is fork-tender.
  • Serve warm, and enjoy the comforting aromas of your cozy meal!

Notes

For best results, you can skip browning the beef if you're short on time, but it enhances the stew's richness. Leftover veggies can be added for a creative twist.
