Brioche

  • 8 slices brioche bread High-quality brioche is recommended.

Caramelization

  • 1/4 cup sugar For caramelizing top.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well blended.
  • Position the brioche slices in a baking dish, ensuring each slice is saturated with the custard mixture.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake the brioche for 30-35 minutes or until set and golden.
  • Evenly sprinkle sugar over the top and use a kitchen torch to caramelize until golden and crispy.
  • Serve warm, topped with fresh berries or your favorite fruits.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality brioche. Soaking the bread overnight enhances the flavor. You may also experiment with different spices or bread types for variation.
