Ingredients
  

For the mushroom filling

  • 12 pieces Fresh mushrooms Use large ones for better stuffing.
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese Boursin cheese can be used for extra flavor.
  • 2-3 cloves Fresh garlic, minced Increase for a stronger garlic flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh herbs (parsley and thyme), chopped Can use dried herbs if fresh aren't available.
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs Can use gluten-free alternatives if needed.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For drizzling.
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Clean the mushrooms thoroughly and remove the stems.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  • Stuff each mushroom cap generously with the cheese mixture.

Topping and Roasting

  • In another bowl, mix together panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture on top of each stuffed mushroom to add a delightful crunch.
  • Drizzle with olive oil to help them brown beautifully.
  • Arrange the mushrooms on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes until they are golden and crispy.

Serving

  • Serve warm and enjoy as a mouthwatering appetizer.

Notes

For serving, garnish with extra fresh herbs and pair with toothpicks for easy eating. Can be served with a dipping sauce like aioli.
