Preparation

  • Slice the ripe bananas into thin, even rounds, aiming for approximately 1/8 inch thick for optimal crispiness.
  • In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar, mixing well to ensure an even blend.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush it with a little oil to prevent sticking.
  • Lay the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap.
  • Evenly sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the banana slices.

Cooking

  • Cook the banana chips in the preheated air fryer for about 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  • Once golden and crispy, remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool before serving.

Notes

Cinnamon-Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips can be served alone or with a dipping sauce like yogurt or chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container at room temperature. Best enjoyed within a couple of days for optimal crispiness.
