  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder for filling
  • 2 tsp cinnamon for filling
  • 2 tbsp softened butter for spreading

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and cinnamon.
  • Gradually add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the dry ingredients, stirring to form a dough.
  • Knead the dough for 5 to 7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Cover the dough with a clean cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  • After the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  • Spread softened butter evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cocoa powder, and cinnamon for the filling, then sprinkle it evenly over the butter.
  • Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other, creating a log shape.
  • Slice the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces and arrange them in a greased baking pan.

Baking

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow them to cool slightly before glazing.
