Ingredients

For the Filling

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breasts Can substitute with rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened For a cheesy twist, consider adding mozzarella or cheddar.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until everything is well blended and creamy.
  • Cook the chicken in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink. Then shred the chicken and mix it with the creamy filling until fully incorporated.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  • Place a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each triangle and fold over to enclose the filling.
  • Arrange the filled pillows on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving to add a touch of color and freshness.

Notes

These chicken pillows are perfect as a standalone dish but can also shine as part of a larger meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container; they should last for about 3-4 days. For reheating, pop them back in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through.
