Ingredients
  

Chicken Preparation

  • 2 small small chicken breasts Cut into ½ inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons poultry seasoning (or salt, pepper, garlic powder) For seasoning the chicken
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For drizzling over chicken

Garlic Bread Preparation

  • 1 Italian style loaf Italian style loaf Sliced lengthwise into two halves
  • 1.5 sticks unsalted butter Melted for garlic butter mixture
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic Or garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley For garlic butter and garnishing
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes For extra flavor

Alfredo Sauce Preparation

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For the sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese For the sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For topping the bread

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut the chicken breasts into ½ inch pieces, place them in a bowl, and drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over them. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of poultry seasoning and stir to coat.
  • In a pan over medium heat, cook the seasoned chicken until golden and fully cooked through.
  • Slice the Italian loaf lengthwise into two halves.
  • In a separate bowl, combine 1 stick of melted butter, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley, and 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves of the bread and toast in a preheated 350°F oven for 5-10 minutes, monitoring until golden and crispy.

Sauce Preparation

  • Using the same pan that cooked the chicken, add 1/2 stick of butter and melt over medium-low heat.
  • Stir in 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, cooking for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  • Lower the heat, then stir in 1/2 cup of heavy cream and 1/4 cup of shredded parmesan cheese. Add 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley and let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.

Assembly and Baking

  • Spread half of the Alfredo sauce over the toasted bread, top with the cooked chicken and 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. Add the remaining Alfredo sauce on top.
  • Return the bread to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted.
  • Slice the bread into 2-3 inch pieces and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken breasts in the seasoning mix for 30 minutes before cooking. Pair with a fresh green salad or roasted veggies for a well-rounded meal.
