Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  • Stir in cream of mushroom soup, adding salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.

Assembly

  • In a greased baking dish, spread the beef mixture evenly.
  • Layer tater tots on top of the beef mixture.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until tater tots are golden brown and cheese is melted.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the casserole cool completely and transfer it to an airtight container. It can be refrigerated for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
