  • 2 pieces cooked chicken breasts, shredded Use leftover chicken for convenience.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) Feel free to play around with cheese varieties.
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 4 large tortillas Any type of tortilla can work.
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce For crunch.
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes For added freshness.
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • as needed Olive oil or cooking spray For cooking.

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon a portion of the chicken mixture onto the center.
  • Top the filling with shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes for that fresh crunch.
  • Carefully roll the tortilla tightly like a burrito.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and coat it lightly with olive oil or cooking spray.
  • Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn golden brown.
  • Flip the wraps and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side.
  • Once both sides are browned, slice them in half and serve warm.

Notes

These wraps can be served with a side salad, homemade salsa, or sweet potato fries. You can also freeze leftovers for up to 2 months.
