  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter Cut into pieces for easier melting.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Can be substituted with half-and-half.

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add granulated sugar. Stir continuously until it starts to melt and turn golden.
  • Once the sugar is fully melted, add the unsalted butter carefully. The mixture will bubble, so watch out for splatters!
  • Stir the butter into the melted sugar until combined and let it cook for an additional minute.
  • Slowly drizzle in the heavy cream, continuing to stir until smooth and fully mixed.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before transferring it to your favorite jar.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks. Reheat gently on stovetop or in microwave when ready to use.
