  • 1/3 cup 1/3 cup bread crumbs Can use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a GF option.
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons green onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup celery (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup mayonnaise Greek yogurt can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 egg 1 egg (beaten)
  • 4 tablespoons 4 tablespoons butter (for frying)
  • 1 1 lemon (for garnish)
  • 1 sprig 1 dill (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by draining the canned salmon thoroughly. If you prefer a smoother texture, remove any skin and bones.
  • In a large bowl, combine the salmon, bread crumbs, green onions, celery, mayonnaise, and the beaten egg. Mix until everything is well blended.
  • Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape each portion into a patty. Set them aside for cooking.

Cooking

  • Heat the butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Carefully place the patties in the pan.
  • Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until they turn golden brown and are heated through.
  • Plate your delicious patties and finish with a garnish of fresh dill and a splash of lemon juice. Serve as is or alongside some roasted potatoes or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

Notes

Refrigerate the patties for about 30 minutes before frying for an extra crispy texture. Experiment with additional spices or herbs such as garlic powder or parsley for an extra flavor boost! Use a non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan for that perfect golden crust.
