  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 4 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 3-4 tablespoons brown sugar Adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 cup mashed banana Approximately 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon Or more, to taste
  • 2 cups milk Any variety

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, brown sugar, mashed bananas, cinnamon, salt, vanilla extract, and milk.
  • Stir the mixture until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.

Serving

  • When you’re ready to enjoy, serve the oats in bowls and top with your favorite toppings such as fresh fruits, yogurt, or nuts.

Notes

Brown Sugar Overnight Oats can last up to 3-4 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Stir well before serving, as the mixture may thicken over time.
