Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed For extra flaky biscuits, keep the butter very cold.
  • 3/4 cup milk

Fruits

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries Can use frozen blueberries; just adjust baking time.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut in the cold cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Pour in the milk and stir gently until just combined.
  • Carefully fold in the fresh blueberries, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
  • Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly. Pat it into a 1-inch thick round.

Baking

  • Use a round cutter to cut out biscuits and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with butter, honey, or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container for up to two days or freeze for up to three months.
