  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits Can use regular or low-fat biscuits based on preference.
  • 1 lb mild sausage Feel free to replace with spicy or turkey sausage.
  • 1 package gravy mix Prepare according to package directions.
  • 6 whole eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk Can use whole or low-fat milk.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese May substitute with other cheese types.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  • Cut the refrigerated biscuits into quarters and spread them evenly in the baking dish.

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until it’s browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and pour the cooked sausage over the biscuits.
  • Prepare the gravy according to the package instructions, then pour it evenly over the sausage and biscuits.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Pour this mixture over the casserole.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the eggs are set, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with fresh fruit or a side salad. For added flavor, garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or chives.
