Ingredients
  

For the Big Mac Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise Can be substituted with Greek yogurt.
  • 2 tablespoons French dressing
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika

For the Burgers

  • ½ pound ground beef (80/20) For the juiciest patties.
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 pieces sesame seed burger buns Plus one extra bottom bun for each burger.
  • 2 slices American cheese Can use a dairy-free alternative.
  • ¼ cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons diced white onion
  • 4-6 slices dill pickle
  • as needed Butter For toasting the buns.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Sauce

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, French dressing, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika until smooth.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour to let the flavors meld.

Make the Patties

  • In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt and pepper.
  • Divide into two portions and shape into patties, keeping the edges slightly thinner than the center.

Cook the Patties

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 2-3 minutes on each side until juicy with a nice crisp exterior.

Toast the Buns

  • Spread butter on the cut sides of the buns and toast them face down on a hot skillet until golden brown.

Assemble the Big Mac

  • Start with the bottom bun, spreading a tablespoon of the prepared sauce, followed by the shredded lettuce and one slice of cheese.
  • Place the first beef patty on top.
  • For the middle layer, add another bottom bun, dollop with sauce, diced onion, and 4-6 pickle slices.
  • Finish with the second patty, another slice of cheese, more lettuce, and additional sauce, then top with the final bun.

Serve

  • Serve hot for the best taste and texture.

Notes

Storing leftovers: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a skillet to retain bun texture. Creative twists: Add crispy bacon, avocado, or jalapeños for a unique flavor.
