  • 2 cups marinara sauce Can use store-bought for convenience
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Goes on top for a creamy finish
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning Enhances the flavor
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds a nice touch of saltiness
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For sautéing
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic for better flavor
  • 1 medium onion, chopped Provides sweetness when sautéed

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet, cooking until the beef is browned and fully cooked.
  • Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, letting the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook tortellini according to package directions until al dente, then drain.
  • Combine the cooked tortellini with the meat mixture, ensuring it is well coated.
  • Transfer everything to the prepared baking dish, top with mozzarella and sprinkle Parmesan over the top.
  • Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Garnish with fresh basil or parsley when serving. Can store leftovers in airtight container for up to 3-4 days or freeze for 2-3 months.
