  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free version.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce Consider adding sautéed spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Can substitute with provolone or gouda.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat each chicken breast with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing it on to ensure it adheres well.
  • Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.

Cooking

  • Bake for 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven, spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast, and top evenly with mozzarella cheese.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven for best results.
