  • 3 pieces ripe bananas Ensure the bananas are very ripe for optimal sweetness.
  • 120 grams creamy peanut butter Can substitute with almond butter or sunflower seed butter for nut-free version.
  • 50 grams cocoa powder Adjust amount to taste; more cocoa for richer chocolate flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Prepare a 15 cm x 15 cm (7 inch x 7 inch) brownie pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  • Add the creamy peanut butter to the mashed bananas and stir until fully combined.
  • Sift in the cocoa powder and gently mix until well integrated.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 22 to 30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Let the brownies cool completely at room temperature before slicing.

Notes

To serve, enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, or sprinkled with nuts. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
